According to the EPA 13.1 million tons of textiles end up in landfills. The cost to dump in a landfill is $44 a ton.
The 5th Grade the Panasonic Eco Challenge is well underway. Check out our first upcycling project.........making paper from recycled newspapers with the help of Mrs. Attardi and the Art Room.

The Dime Drive is under way!
6th grade read A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park and after researching the need for clean water in South Sudan decided to be a part of Salva Dut's Iron Giraffe Challenge. On School Spirit Fridays in January, February and March we will be raising money to drill wells in villages in South Sudan. Fourth Grade Genre Videos
4th Grade has been studying a variety of different genres within Fiction. While working in cooperative groups, the first task was to define their genre, next they located library books, summarized the books and finally created a video in Animoto.
